Grand Forks Fire Rescue were kept busy this evening after a FortisBC transformer caught fire after 6pm.
Fortis BC remotely shut off power while crews were enroute to assess the incident, effecting Grand Forks’ downtown precinct, as fire crews remained on the scene to monitor the situation.
There was no threat to any structure or surrounding forestry.
