“I am a passionate, long-term community member in the Similkameen Valley and have dedicated my career to advocating for the interests of rural areas like ours.” said Wilson.

“Professionally, I serve as the Executive Director of the BC Snowmobile Federation, where I collaborate with government and industry to support tourism and outdoor recreation. I currently live in Keremeos with my husband, who runs the local small engine business.”

“My focus has always been on practical solutions and strengthening our communities, which is why I’m committed to bringing common sense back to BC.”

Known for her quick thinking, decision-making skills, and financial acumen, Donegal is committed to her community both personally and professionally.

The Issues: Healthcare, Economy and Safety

Wilson says there is a number of important issues for the riding, and she is committed to standing up for them.

“The most important issue for me is ensuring that rural voices are included in decisions that impact our communities.” said Wilson.

“There are many complicated issues across BC, but solutions must reflect the unique challenges we face in rural areas, such as access to healthcare, economic development, and public safety.”

“I am committed to being a strong voice for rural BC, advocating for practical solutions that strengthen our communities and protect our way of life.”

Meanwhile, Wilson says government overreach is a real concern.

“We need to enable and support community-based solutions from the private and non-profit sectors, not impose top-down mandates. The province shouldn’t dictate local decisions on housing density, short-term rentals, or supportive housing locations. Instead, we should focus on ensuring essential infrastructure investments are made, such as safe drinking water for everyone, and empower local communities to address their unique needs effectively.”

Final Words

“I’m a local candidate who will listen to the public, stakeholders, communities and business owners to ensure real solutions are implemented solutions that come from people who do the work.” said Wilson.

“The “Government knows best” approach isn’t working. We need a representative who brings common sense back to BC, and I am committed to advocating for practical solutions that reflect our community’s needs and values.”
